Traction fluids and a method of using such tractions fluids to increase the interface friction between two surfaces moved relative to one another is provided. The traction fluid may comprise a polysiloxane base oil corresponding to the structural formula: n n n n n n n n n n wherein R and R′ are independently selected, such that R is an alkyl group having between 1-3 carbon atoms; R′ is a cycloalkyl dicycloalkyl, or aryl group having between 5-20 carbon atoms; m is an integer; and n is an integer or 0 with 5<(m+n)<100 and 0.50<m/(m+n)<1.00. |
