abstract Methods and apparatuses are provided for producing hydrocarbons. A method includes contacting an aromatic rich feed stream including diolefins with a catalyst in the presence of hydrogen to react the diolefins with the hydrogen to produce mono-olefins. A deposit forms on the catalyst during reaction. The deposit is removed from the catalyst with a solvent, where the solvent includes about 50 mass percent or more aromatic compounds.
