abstract |
Disclosed herein a system comprising a casing; the casing being disposed in a borehole; a liner; the liner being disposed in the casing and being concentric with the casing; and a layer of material disposed between the liner and the casing; where the layer of material forms a first bond with the liner and a second bond with the casing thereby enabling hanging the liner from the casing. Disclosed herein too is a method comprising disposing in a borehole a system comprising a casing; the casing being disposed in a borehole; a liner; the liner being disposed in the casing and being concentric with the casing; and a layer of material disposed between the liner and the casing; heating the system at a point proximate to the layer of material; and forming a first bond between the layer of material and the liner and a second bond between the layer of material and the casing. |
