abstract A method generates a magnetic resonance (MR) spectrum by obtaining an MR echo signal from an object in response to a transmitted radio frequency (RF) signal that is emitted towards the object. The method extracts from the MR signal, a plurality of signals corresponding to a plurality of frequency ranges and adjusts a phase of at least one of the extracted plurality of signals in a time domain. A combination signal is generated by combining the plurality of signals including the at least one extracted phase adjusted signal and generates an MR spectrum of the object in response to the combination signal.
