The unit passes room-air over the roots of the plants, and significantly cleanses the air in a large room of contaminants. The unit is placed to receive light from e.g a window of the room. The unit includes provision for rotating the media-cylinder about a vertical axis, to ensure even illumination of all the plants around the media-cylinder.
