Methods of detecting the presence of microorganisms in a sample |
abstract |
The present disclosure provides a method of detecting the presence of a microorganism in a tested sample, the method comprises:n illuminating the tested sample; and generating one or more infrared (IR) images of the sample using an IR detector operable to detect, in its field of view, radiation reflected and/or transmitted from the test sample in the IR spectral region of 0.75 to 20 μm or spectral region therein; wherein the radiation, imaged in the one or more IR images, is indicative of the presence of a microorganism in the test sample. nn The method according to the present disclosure is utilized in determining the efficiency of an anti-microbial agent. |
