abstract | The present invention relates to a cosmetic process for treating human body odor, in particular underarm odor, which consists in applying to human keratin materials a composition containing, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, at least one 4-(3-ethoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl)alkyl ketone or 2-ethoxy-4-hydroxyalkylphenol compound of formula (I) below: n n n n n n n n n n in which:n R represents a hydrogen atom, or a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated (alkyl or alkenyl), C 1 -C 18 hydrocarbon-based radical; R′ represents a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated (alkyl or alkenyl), C 1 -C 18 hydrocarbon-based radical, optionally substituted with a hydroxyl group; C—X represents C═O or CH—OH. nn The invention also relates to the cosmetic use of at least one compound of formula (I), as a deodorant active agent. |
