abstract |
An automated pipe feed mechanism for transferring pipe away from a pipe tub, such as to a walkway and/or a pipe arm. A pipe feed mechanism may be mounted between the pipe tub and the skid mounted walkway for receiving pipe from a pipe gate. The pipe feed mechanism may or may not be mounted to the pipe tub and/or to a walkway. A support within the pipe tube carries pipe and may be sloped to urge the pipe towards the pipe feed mechanism. The pipe feed mechanism is operable for moving a pipe one at a time away from the pipe tub. In one embodiment, a pipe gate is located adjacent an upper edge of said pipe tub. In another embodiment, a pipe gate is located at a lower end of the pipe tub. |
