abstract A system, method, and mobile device application for managing a multi-tenant database system from a mobile device. An administrator of a multi-tenant database system is enabled to view information relating to managing the multi-tenant database from a mobile device. Some examples of the information that may be viewed include the status of datacenters, the status of instances on a datacenter, the status of user accounts, notifications to alert the administrator of changes within the multi-tenant database, alerts of potential problems. In an embodiment, the management of a multi-tenant database is further facilitated by the ability to send and implement administrative actions at the multi-tenant database, via the mobile device application. The system, method, and mobile device application may allow the administrator to perform database management duties without the restrictions of business hours or location, and without the use of a desktop or laptop computer.
