Such methods may include steps of measuring a test level of one or more miR molecules in a biological sample from the subject; comparing the test level to a control level of the one or more miR molecules; and diagnosing a subject as having a cancer, differentiating between a locoregional cancer and a cancer that has progressed to a cancer with visceral or distant metastasis, or determining a prognosis for the subject having a cancer when the test level is significantly different than the control level.
