abstract |
An image forming method uses an ink set that includes applying a liquid composition onto a recording medium; further applying a ink composition onto the recording medium with an ink jet method to form an image; drying the image at a surface temperature of the image of 35° C. to 55° C. until a difference between a residual water content of a non-image portion on the recording medium and a residual water content of a image portion where an application amount of the ink composition is the maximum is 2 g/m 2 to 4 g/m 2 ; and irradiating the image with active energy rays: the ink set includes the ink composition containing at least a pigment, water, 3% by mass or less of polymer particles, and 5% by mass to 15% by mass of polymerizable compound having an acrylamide structure represented by the formula (1); and the liquid composition containing an aggregation component. |
