abstract A lighting system includes a first LED array which includes a plurality of LED sub-arrays, and a plurality of inputs operatively coupled to a corresponding LED sub-array through a controller. The intensity of light emitted by the LED sub-arrays is adjustable in response to adjusting input signals provide by the inputs. In this way, the intensity of light emitted by the LED sub-arrays is adjustable, in response to adjusting the input signals, to drive a wavelength spectrum of the first LED array to match the action spectrum of a physiological activity of a plant.
