titleOfInvention Light-emitting device
abstract To provide a light-emitting device ( 1 ) comprising a plurality of organic EL elements ( 11 ) having a composition by which an organic EL element in which the film thickness of a common layer is varied according to the type of the organic EL element can be formed with a small number of steps. The light-emitting device comprises a supporting substrate, a plurality of partitions ( 3 ) extending in a line direction different from a column direction at a prescribed interval in a prescribed column direction, and a plurality of organic EL elements provided in each space between the partitions adjacent to each other in the column direction at a prescribed interval in the line direction. The organic EL elements are classified into m types of organic EL elements and each of them has a common layer provided commonly to all types of organic EL elements and a pair of electrodes configured to put the common layer therebetween. The area between the partitions adjacent to each other in the column direction as viewed from one side of the thickness direction of the supporting substrate is set according to a type of the organic EL element provided between the partitions and the film thickness of the common layer of the organic EL elements is set according to the area between the partitions viewed from one side of the thickness direction.
