abstract The USAGE PAYMENT COLLECTION AND APPORTIONMENT PLATFORM APPARATUSES, METHODS AND SYSTEMS (“UPCAP”) transform content seed selections and recommendations via UPCAP components such as discovery and social influence into events and discovery of other contents for users and revenue for right-holders. In one implementation, the UPCAP may receive from a requestor a payment request for usage of a universally resolvable media content (“URMC”) item and may query a URMC usage database to obtain the URMC item usage metric. In a further implementation, the UPCAP may determine, based on URMC usage payment obligation rules associated with the requestor and the URMC item usage metric, a payment amount owed for usage of the URMC item and may provide the determined payment amount to the requestor.
