abstract Provided are a sensor for detecting molecular binding by increasing the mass of a gold nanoparticle through light-irradiation and a method thereof. In the method, light-irradiation increases the size of gold nanoparticles without using a reducing agent, to enhance the mass. Accordingly, selectivity may be improved, and the sensitivity of detection may be improved due to a change in various properties of a gold nanoparticle.
