abstract A device for capturing a clot is provided. The device can include an inflatable body, a network of veins incorporated thereinto, and a wall defining the inflatable body. The inflatable body can include a pathway substantially axial therethrough upon inflation. The network of veins, upon introduction of a fluid thereinto, can inflate the inflatable body to a predetermined shape. The wall can extend between adjacent veins to define the pathway through the inflatable body and to direct the clot therethrough.
