abstract |
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a slow-release fertilizer comprising the steps of providing a mixture comprising urea and a first lignin compound; heating the mixture to a temperature in the range of 70-170° C. to obtain a reacted mixture; forming the reacted mixture to obtain a fertilizer composition and forming a coating on the slow-release fertilizer; the coating comprising either at least one resin acid and at least one inorganic salt or a second lignin compound, to obtain the slow-release-fertilizer. Further, the present invention relates to a slow-release fertilizer obtainable by the method. There is also provided a slow-release fertilizer comprising a coating, the coating comprising at least one resin acid and a calcium salt. |
