titleOfInvention Manganese-rich and magnesium-rich aluminium strip
abstract The invention relates to an aluminium alloy for producing lithographic printing plate supports. The object of providing an aluminium alloy and an aluminium strip made of an aluminium alloy which make it possible to produce printing plate supports having improved flexural fatigue strength transverse to the rolling direction and having improved heat resistance, without impairing roughening properties, is achieved for an aluminium alloy in that the aluminium alloy contains the following alloy components in percent by weight: n 0.2%≦Fe≦0.5%,n n 0.41%≦Mg≦0.7%,n n 0.05%≦Si≦0.25%,n n 0.31%≦Mn≦0.6%,n n Cu≦0.04%,n n Ti<0.1%, n Zn≦0.1%,n n Cr≦0.1%,n n the rest being Al and unavoidable impurities, each in an amount of 0.05% at most to give a total of 0.15% at most.
