The invention relates to a medical sensor system ( 10 a /10 c ) for detecting a feature ( 12 a /12 c ) in a human or animal body ( 14 a /14 c ), including a signal pick-up unit ( 16 a /16 c ), which can be implanted in the animal and/or human body ( 14 a /14 c ), and a signal processing unit ( 18 a /18 c ), which is spatially separated from the signal pick-up unit ( 16 a /16 c ) and which includes a transmitter ( 20 a /20 c ) and a receiver ( 22 a /22 c ). The transmitter ( 20 a /20 c ) emits an alternating magnetic field ( 24 a /24 c ) to act on the signal pick-up unit ( 16 a /16 c ), and the receiver ( 22 a /22 c ) receives a response signal ( 26 a /26 c ) of the signal pick-up unit ( 16 a /16 c ), which is generated by the magnetic interaction of the alternating magnetic field ( 24 a /24 c ) with the signal pick-up unit ( 16 a /16 c ). |
