abstract The present invention relates to a method for modulating immune response in a subject, which comprises administering to the subject an effective amount of a composition comprising a yolk or yolk antibody obtained from an egg of a fowl which has been immunized using Helicobacter pylori as an antigen. In particular, the method of the invention is effective in enhancing production of IFN-γ and suppressing production of IL-4 and IL-5 in a subject. Also provided is a composition which comprises said yolk or yolk antibody in combination with polypore and chitosan.
