abstract Tooth whitening compound includes a whitener and a carrier selected for adhering the carrier and whitening composition to a user's teeth. The whitening compound may be applied by the method including painting, washing, sponging, coating, daubing, spraying, wiping, rubbing, and by any movement relative to a horizontal or vertical axis of the user's tooth. The whitening compound may be sufficiently viscous to adhere to a user's teeth, in use, without a mechanical retaining device. The whitening compound may be a semi-solid or a solid compound at ambient temperatures.
