abstract A package for applying a liquid personal care product. the package including a body for storing and dispensing a personal care product and an applicator with a skin-contacting portion for applying the personal care product to the skin of a user. The body of the package and the skin-contacting portion both have first and second cross-sectional shapes with major and minor dimensions aligned with one another. The major dimension being greater than the minor dimension. The skin contacting portion includes a patterned surface. The patterned surface produces a corresponding pattern on skin when the personal care product is applied thereto. The pattern may be configured to deliver a discontinuous film of product to the skin, resulting in natural looking coverage.
