| abstract | Apparatus for use by a player in a game of Texas Hold'em poker is disclosed and comprises and keyboard and a screen. The keyboard includes: a card identification key arrangement including one key for each of the cards of a standard 52-card deck suit; and a suitedness indicator key arrangement. Using the identification key arrangement, the user can: indicate, in two keystrokes, the cards constituting a hand; and indicate the number of players participating. Using the indicator key arrangement, the user can indicate, in a single keystroke, whether the cards in the hand are of the same suit. After the user has: indicated the cards constituting said hand; indicated the number of players participating; and indicated whether the cards in the are of the same suit, the screen displays information about the hand selected from: the pre-flop percentage odds of said hand winning the game; and the hand ranking. |
