abstract A device and a process for preparing biological test samples are presented. The device has a disposable device with a connection mechanism for connecting to a closed sonication tube together with a filter capture unit to capture samples and to handle the samples without requiring additional tubes. With the device and/or method, samples are sonicated in the closed sonication tube that prevents aerosol contamination.
