abstract A system and method of using a portable touch screen device (“PTSD”) in connection with an integrated emergency medical transport database system is disclosed. The PTSD may be used to quickly and accurately gather and preserve data regarding a patient and the transportation of the patient. In various embodiments data may be input into the PTSD in a standardized format by associating typing, voice, video, picture, or other files with predetermined data input categories. Standardized data may then be communicated by the PTSD, for instance wirelessly, to an integrated emergency medical transport database, after which the patient data is deleted from the PTSD to protect patient confidentiality.
