abstract A novel high-performance material is provided. A certain aspect of the present invention lies in a 2,3-bis(N,N-bis(p-anisyl)4-aminophenylethynyl)dimethylfumarate producing method, characterized by illuminating light onto 2,3-bis(N,N-bis(p-anisyl)4-aminophenylethynyl)dimethylmaleate. Also, a further certain aspect of the present invention lies in a 2,3-bis(N,N-bis(p-anisyl)4-aminophenylethynyl)dimethylmaleate producing method, characterized by illuminating light onto 2,3-bis(N,N-bis(p-anisyl)4-aminophenylethynyl)dimethylfumarate. According to this constitution, there can be obtained a high-performance material by a simple technique.
