abstract According to one aspect of the present invention, a soil treatment composition is provided. In one embodiment, the soil treatment composition includes an acidic material containing at least one organic acid and at least one inorganic acid, and a plurality of substrate particles supporting the acidic material. In another embodiment, the substrate particles are sized to be retained on a 100 mesh sieve. In yet another embodiment, the organic acid includes an oxalic acid, a citric acid, or combinations thereof. In yet another embodiment, the soil treatment composition further includes a soil/plant nutrient material.
