The invention utilizes differential gene expression profiles in tumor associated stroma and normal stroma to compile a stroma derived prognostic predictor that classifies breast cancer patients according to clinical outcome. The application provides nucleic acids, antibodies, microarray chips and kits for use with the methods described in the application.
