titleOfInvention | Quantum communication method and system between two users using two pairs of photons emmited by an independent laser source |
abstract | The present invention relates to the exchange of information, in particular using quantum mechanically entangled particles. Information is exchanged between a first party and a second party, by: (i) generating a third party group of entangled particles; (ii) quantum mechanically entangling the particles from the third party group with a first particle, which first particle is in a state that contains information to be conveyed from the first party apparatus; (iii) quantum mechanically entangling the particles from the third party group with a second particle, which second particle is in a state that contains information to be conveyed from the second party apparatus; (iv) using the first party apparatus to perform a local measurement on at least one of the third party group of entangled particles such that the result of the measurement provides an indication of the information from the second party apparatus; and, (v) using the second party apparatus to perform a local measurement on at least a further one of the third party group of entangled particles such that the result of the measurement provides an indication of the information from the first party apparatus. |
