abstract Disclosed are a method for determining the affinity of an antibody capable of binding to a cell membrane surface antigen for the antigen; and a method for assaying or screening an antibody capable of binding to a cell membrane surface antigen by utilizing the determination method. In the determination of the affinity of the antibody for the antigen, floating cells presenting the antigen on the surface of the cell membrane thereof are used and the B/F separation of the cells is made by centrifugation or on a filter through which the cells cannot pass.
