abstract A diamond-based composition that contains (1) a diamond crystallite having chemically derivatized surface groups, and (2) a polymer having functional groups, in which a portion of the functional groups bind to the chemically derivatized surface groups non-covalently. Also disclosed are methods of using such composition for analyzing a biological sample by determining the identity of biomolecules bound to the composition.
