titleOfInvention | Display element |
abstract | A display element in which a tone variation in halftone color is reduced at the time of repetitive driving. The display element contains electrolyte which contains silver between counter electrodes or contains a compound including silver in the chemical structure, and performs drive operation of the counter electrodes to cause dissolution deposition of silver. The display element is characterized by satisfying a relation A 1 /A 2 >4, where A 1 (mA/cm 2 ) is the maximum absolute value of a current flowing between the counter electrodes when they are driven in the direction for depositing silver from a state where silver is not deposited on the display electrode side, and A 2 (mA/cm 2 ) is the maximum absolute value of a current flowing between the counter electrodes when they are driven in the direction for dissolving silver from a state where silver is not deposited on the display electrode side. |
