abstract | Methods for treating or preventing disease in biological conduits are provided herein. In certain embodiments, the methods relate to reducing or preventing vasospasm in blood vessel walls. In other embodiments, the methods described herein relate to reducing the accumulation of intimal hyperplasia in blood vessel walls after vascular procedures, including surgery. The methods encompass the use of agents that are useful for dilating biological conduits, but in dosages lower than are effective to achieve dilation of biological conduits. |
