Organic electroluminescence device |
abstract |
An organic electroluminescence device having a longer drive life is provided. n An organic electroluminescence device is an organic electroluminescence device comprising, between a pair of electrodes composed of a cathode and an anode, a light emitting layer, a hole transport layer provided on the anode side of the light emitting layer, and an electron transport layer provided on the cathode side of the light emitting layer. n The organic electroluminescence device is characterized in that the light emitting layer comprises a luminescent dye, and a host material having a nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic ring. n The luminescence resulting from the hole transport layer adjacent to the light emitting layer is less than one-hundredth of the luminescence resulting from the luminescent dye. |
