abstract The present invention provides an amorphous form of pemetrexed disodium, a process for preparing the amorphous form of pemetrexed disodium, and a pharmaceutical composition that includes the amorphous form of pemetrexed disodium and a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. The process for preparing the amorphous form of pemetrexed disodium includes dissolving pemetrexed disodium in a solvent, to obtain a solution, optionally filtering the solution, and recovering the amorphous form from the solution. The present invention provides for the use of the amorphous form of pemetrexed disodium in medical therapy and treatment.
