The invention relates to mixtures of compounds of the formulae (I), (III), (IV), and/or (V), n n n n n n n n n n in which n is an average chain length of from 0 to 10,n A 1 and A 2 are identical or different and, independently of one another, are C(═O)NHR 5 , C(═O)R 5 , CH 3 , CH 2 CH 3 , CH 2 CH 2 CH 3 , CH(CH 3 ) 2 , CH 2 (CH 2 ) 2 CH 3 , CH 2 CH(CH 3 ) 2 , C(CH 3 ) 3 , C 6 H 5 , and/or CH 2 —C 6 H 5 , R 1 is a moiety of the formula (II), nn n n n n n n n n n n n in which k is an average chain length of from 0 to 5; n R 2 is CH 3 , CH 2 CH 3 , CH 2 CH 2 CH 3 , CH 2 (CH 3 ) 2 , CH 2 (CH 2 ) 2 CH 3 , CH 2 CH(CH 3 ) 2 , C(CH 3 ) 3 , C 6 H 5 , or CH 2 —C 6 H 5 ; OCH 3 , OCH 2 CH 3 , O(CH 2 ) 2 CH 3 , OCH(CH 3 ) 2 , O(CH 2 ) 3 CH 3 , OCH 2 CH(CH 3 ) 2 , OC(CH 3 ) 3 , O—C 6 H 5 , or O—CH 2 —C 6 H 4 , n R 3 , R 4 , R 5 are identical or different and, independently of one another, are CH 3 , CH 2 CH 3 , CH 2 CH 2 CH 3 , CH(CH 3 ) 2 , CH 2 (CH 2 ) 2 CH 3 , CH 2 Ch(CH 3 ) 2 , C(CH 3 ) 3 , C 6 H 5 , and/or CH 2 —C 6 H 5 and where at least 2 compounds of the formulae (I), (III), (IV), or (V) are simultaneously present in the mixture; to a process for their preparation, and to their use as flame retardants. |
