abstract An organic light emitting device is disclosed. The organic light emitting device includes a first substrate, an organic light emitting element on the first substrate, a second substrate facing the first substrate, and a seal member attaching the first substrate to the second substrate. The organic light emitting element includes an emitting layer. At least one of layers constituting the emitting layer includes a phosphorescence material. The seal member has an absorptance that lies substantially in a range between 25% and 35% at a wavelength of external light of approximately 305 nm to 330 nm.
