abstract | Disclosed is a halophenylbiadamantane derivative of following Formula (1): n n n n n n n n n n wherein R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , and R 6 each independently represent, for example, a hydrogen atom or a halo-substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or cycloalkyl group having about six or less carbon atom(s), provided that at least one of R 1 to R 6 represents a substituent represented by following Formula (2): n n n n n n n n n n wherein X represents a halogen atom; and ānā denotes a natural number of 1 to 5, wherein when only one of R 1 to R 6 is a substituent of Formula (2), then at least one of R 1 to R 6 is a halo-substituted or unsubstituted alkyl or cycloalkyl group having about six or less carbon atom(s) or ānā is a natural number of 2 or more. The halophenylbiadamantane derivative is usable as an intermediate material for a wide variety of biadamantane derivatives. |
