abstract Disclosed is a hydroxybenzamide derivative represented by the following Formula. A method for preparing the same and a cosmetic composition comprising the same are also disclosed. More particularly, the hydroxybenzamide derivative is obtained by reacting a hydroxybenzoic acid having a protecting group introduced thereto with a hydroxyphenyl amine to form a benzamide derivative and by hydrolyzing the benzamide derivative in an aqueous base solution to form a hydroxybenzamide derivative. The cosmetic composition comprising the hydroxybenzamide derivative as an active ingredient has excellent anti-oxidative, anti-aging and skin wrinkle-alleviating effects. wherein R1 represents a C1˜C10 alkyl group, and n is an integer ranging from 1 to 3.
