abstract We disclose a method of inhibiting angiogenesis in a mammal by administering by a subcutaneous or intraperitoneal route to a tissue in the mammal where angiogenesis is occurring a composition comprising mithramycin and a pharmaceutically-acceptable carrier. We have found a subcutaneous or intraperitoneal dose from about 10 μg mithramycin per kg body weight per day to about 500 μg mithramycin per kg body weight per day can be effective for inhibition of angiogenesis.
