abstract A polyolefin composition comprising (parts by weight) (A) 100 parts of a crystalline isotactic propylene polymer resin having a molecular weight distribution ( M w / M n ) less than 3, the proportion of inversely inserted propylene units based on 2,1 insertions of a propylene monomer in all propylene insertions, i.e. 2,1 insertions, is as low as 0.5% or less, and a value of the melt flow rate (MFR) from 20 to 60 g/10 min; and (B) 0.1-1 part of a high molecular weight propylene polymer (B) having a value of melt strength from 5 to 40 cN. n Fibres prepared from the said composition exhibit a good balance between elasticity and tenacity.
