abstract |
A radiographic imaging system includes a penetrating radiation source including a first translating device, the first translating device comprising a first controller for positioning the radiation source. A radiation detector includes second translating device comprising a second controller for positioning the detector. A motion capture device is communicably connected to both the first and second controllers. The motion capture device tracks a position of the object being imaged and provides position information to both the first controller and second controllers for dynamically coordinating trajectories for both the radiation source and the radiation detector. The first and second translating devices preferably comprise robotic arms. |
