abstract This invention relates to a loop fabric laminate bearing a graphic image and methods for printing such images on the back surface of the backing layer of the laminate. The loop fabric laminate is characterized by the presence of recessed and unrecessed areas in the backing layer, and the presence of ink deposited and retained in place in the recessed and unrecessed areas, with void defects of greater than 0.5 mm in largest dimension being present at a frequency of less than one void defect per square centimeter of printed area.
