abstract | The present invention relates to flexible protective covering, comprising a composite sheet providing high level of both waterproof and moisture vapor permeability. In its first aspect, the composite sheet consists of at least a thin layer of non-woven fabric and at least a thin layer of air-impermeable, non-porous, hydrophilic polymer. In its second aspect, the composite sheet is further impregnated with at least another layer of hydrophilic polymer into the non-woven fabric side. In its third aspect, the composite sheet consists of a thin layer of air-impermeable, non-porous, hydrophilic polymers comprising poly(amic acid) or polyetherpoly(amic acid) or polyetherpolyimide and at least a porous substrate. |
