abstract A test kit for the chemical analysis of sample components which are gaseous or convertible into the gas form. The test that has at least two separate regions, of which the first serves for receiving the sample and the second serves for receiving the gases liberated from the sample. The second region containing a gas-sensitive reagent which experiences a change due to contact with the gas generated in the first region; the two regions being separated from one another by a separation element having a mean pore diameter of 0.5 μm to 1000 μm (frit).
