titleOfInvention Electrolyte electrode assembly and method of producing the same
abstract A unit cell of a fuel cell is formed by sandwiching an electrolyte electrode assembly between a pair of separators. The separators include bosses protruding toward an anode or a cathode. On one surface of the electrolyte electrode assembly facing the separator, the cathode is provided. Then, an electron diffusion layer is provided on the cathode. Electrons which reach the electron diffusion layer through the bosses are diffused over the entire area of the electron diffusion layers. By the electrons, reduction of oxygen in the oxygen-containing gas which has passed through a second passage between the bosses occurs. As a result, oxide ions (O 2− ) are generated.
