titleOfInvention Method for detection of colorectal cancer in human samples
abstract The present invention relates to a method of diagnosing colorectal cancer in human samples using several novel protein markers. The markers have been identified by assaying a number of tissue and serum samples from healthy individuals and persons diagnosed with colorectal cancer by means of protein chip technology using mass spectrometry. Differential expression pattern of these markers are indicative of a person having colorectal cancer patient. The diagnosis is based on comparing at least one intensity value, obtained using the method, to a reference value.
