abstract The present invention is directed to the use of an improved hydrocarbon adsorbent coating for the treatment of exhaust emissions from a motor vehicle. More specifically, the hydrocarbon adsorbent of the present invention can be coated to any surface area of an exhaust gas recirculation system to trap hydrocarbon vapors before they can be released to the atmosphere.
