abstract |
A fluid cleaning system includes: a reactor unit for receiving a fluid body to be processed; a photocatalyst unit disposed in the reactor unit to contact the fluid body and including composite fibers, the composite fibers including a first fiber component made from a first organic polymer, and a second fiber component made from a second organic polymer and particulate photocatalyst; and a light unit. A method for cleaning a fluid includes: preparing composite fibers having a length ranging from 1 to 80 mm and including a first fiber component made from a first organic polymer, and a second fiber component made from a second organic polymer and particulate photocatalyst; adding the composite fibers in a fluid body in a reactor unit such that the composite fibers are freely suspended in the fluid body; and irradiating the suspended composite fibers in the fluid body in the reactor unit. |
