abstract | The invention provides a photothermographic material having at least a substrate, an image forming layer and a non-photosensitive outermost layer, in which the image forming layer and a non-photosensitive outermost layer are provided over a same side surface of the substrate. The image forming layer contains at least a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducing agent and a binder. A non-photosensitive intermediate layer A resides between the image forming layer and the non-photosensitive outermost layer. 50% by mass or more of a binder comprised in the non-photosensitive intermediate layer A is a hydrophobic polymer. A glass transition temperature (Tg) of the hydrophobic polymer is 1 to 30° C. higher than a Tg of the binder comprised in the image forming layer. |
